OK, so based on a few other threads, I'm curious if anyone has graphed the maximum speed in each gear for the SS manual transmission.

Something like this:

Has anyone done this? Of course, that does not indicate top speed because few (if any) vehicles can reach redline in top gear,

I saw a thread showing the theoretical top speeds for each gear. I think 6th was around 270mph!

1st was 52, I think.

That's all I remember, but I'm sure somebody will link the thread soon.

I dont have it graphed but on a dyno run, my SS LS3 had a max speed of 154 in 4th gear

Not bullshit, if you had enough power to turn 6th to the redline that's how fast you'd be going. However it would take a couple thousand horsepower to get there.

I saw 66 in 2nd gear at an auto cross, but was not near redline yet, maybe 5800 rpms.

I know I go thru the traps in 3rd and just touch the limiter at the stripe. Time tickets are usually 110.4-110.7 But I think thats average, I have seen 112 on the dash.

I would venture to say that your graph is off. In my experience I have taken 1st to a little about 50mph and 2nd into 70 all my shifts were at 6k. I have gotten you to 145mph in 4th with more room to go
