Swapped stock fog lights for HID Halo fogs

I was not a big fan of the stock fogs so I initially had them smoked. But when I did that they basically became not usable. I thought about switching to a brighter bulb, but thought I would try something a little different.

Pic of fogs smoked:

So I decided to pull them out and replace them with projector HID's with Halos

Pics:

I know they may not be for everyone, but I really like the light output of the HID's. I am pretty happy with how well they turned out.

I agree. I swapped mine out to HID halos. They are brighter than the halo headlights. I love it.

They sell them on Ebay for about $116, shipped from Asia, but I got them delivered in like 2 weeks.

Here is a link showing the functionality. I really like them.

They also make the Halo rings in different colors if your into that kind of thing...

Thanks.
I really enjoy the extra light on the road... I have my HID headlights and fogs both as 6000k, so they match perfect...

Looks great. Are they plug n play or did you have to splice some wires?

They were not plug and play.

I could have cut the wires on the car side and bought the plugs that came on the fogs, but decided to just cut the plugs off and solder and shrink wrap the connection. I personally prefer to solder over plugs. I think its a more worry free connection.

But was just 2 wires on each side. And of course the fog button turns them on and off just like the sock fogs.

Looks amazing stock lamps and horrible. Did you have to modify the bumper or did they fit well to the stock location?

I did a little. The stock fogs are secured with 3 bolts and you have to cut a notch out of the housing on the bumper to make it fit because they are so much longer
