DIY rear floor mats

since those perfect fit rear floor mats are real expensive, I decided to make my own.

so far, I've done measurements and cardboard cut outs.

I'll be getting some cheap carpets at Wal-Mart so I can cut it into shape.
see how it goes...

I have the same problem.

My son just barely fits in the back seat sitting on the passenger side.

Believe it or not my wife had 3+ herself in the car and they said it wasn't that bad! So it's possible.

BTW -- At like Lowes, Home Depot, and DIY carpet store you can buy adhesive edging that gives it a real pro look. I did as entry way carpet that needed to be custom length and added the piping/edge stuff to the ends where the cuts are and it looks store bought edged all of the wat around.
