Its not a bad drive for us GTA guys I think. 10 hours drive. 2-3 hours for stops on the way.

I was fortunate enough to have attended the National F-body Gathering in Bowling Green each year from 2002 thru 2005.
There is absolutely a ton of stuff to do in the area and Bowling Green has to be one of the premier locations in which to stage an event like this. GM and the Corvette Museum pooled their resources and coordinated the event each year. Besides the usual autoX (organized and conducted by the local Corvette club) and drag racing events at Beech Bend, there were sightseeing tours, visits to the Mammoth Caves, distillery tours etc. organized for us. BTW, there is at least one very esteemed member here on C5 (name withheld upon request) who caught "significant air" at the autoX venue one year due to the steep slope down around the perimeter of the track). Be careful!
A visit to the Corvette Assembly Plant is an absolute "must", as is spending a good few hours (minimum!) in the NCM - especially after its recent expansion.
BG is an easy drive down from the GTA and it can be done in one day with an early start. There were a couple of years when we had a 8-9 car convoy going down and we would spend a night on the road, meeting up with others along the way. The more cars in the convoy, the more stops and the longer it takes. Driving home in one day on the Sunday is easier as there are far fewer trucks on the road and the convoys are not so large as people tend to leave at different times in the morning.
Now the capper would be if some time on the new NCM road course could be made available to event participants!!
Beech Bend is a 10 - 15 min. drive from the NCM/Corvette plant area, FWIW, there are a number of budget-priced hotels in that area... and then there's Jerry's for breakfast!!
If you're on the fence about signing up for this event, "Jus do eet, mon!"

Best regards,

Elie

Attended the very 1st Fest in Georgia, traveled to Oshawa's Camaro Homecoming, drove to the Fest in Indy so I am looking forward to attending another next August.

My daughter wants to drive my '10 SS (vs her '10 RS) and I drive my '14 Stingray! Just might work!!! Can't wait to be part of another CamaroVan coming from the South into Kentucky!!!
