I like having 20% tint so it's very difficult to see my ccw.

Didn't mean you, JustRaf. There's a response on this thread that just overflows with attitude and disrespect.

No disrespect meant here Johnny. I have plenty of family, friends, old military buddies, and neighbors who are police officers and I've found they share my sense of humor which includes the silly side of things. They're actually more screwy than I am.

I did hit on a female officer once who told me to change my tint. She was hot to! I asked her how hard it was to get a woman out of a bullet proof vest instead of a bra and she told me to shut the **** up. I took that as a compliment since she said it with a smile.

I'm not sure about California limits but I would go as dark as the law allows. Cops can tell at a glance if your windows are too dark and that is probable cause for them to stop you. They'll keep on you until you change it.

People don't seem to know Californias laws. You are allowed to have tint on the front side windows, however it cannot be less visibility than 70%.

I live very close to Fresno and have been pulled over for no front license plate, but yea the cops are terribly picky around here.

I do wear glasses/contacts so I suppose I have an advantage.
How did you get a doctors note? or... what exactly does it say? i too wear contacts and have been wondering if i can cite medical reasons to get the front tinted.

really? at a glance? somehow i think my Cyber Grey Metallic, with Black interior, AND a dark tint will GIVE cops a reason to pull me over. also, cali sucks as far as window tints go. i did find a shop somewhat local to be that will allow me to go darker than legal, and they'll take it off and reapply it for free if i get pulled over for it. kinda neat.
