Admittance can only be purchased at the gate of the track. $20.00 -- 2-day Spectator Pass $100.00 -- 2-day Driver's Pass this is directly out of the Registration Thread......but it didn't say whether you have to have cash or if CC were ok........I would bring CASH....it makes it faster for EVERYONE trying to get in the gate. After paying.....you will be issued a WRIST BAND.

Charges are very simple...
Drivers. If you're racing: $100.00 for the weekend. Spectators. If you're not racing: $20.00 for the weekend. Spectators have access to all the vendors and the car show. The cash/Credit question is a great one...I will look into it for you! |

I only want to attend Friday to see the car show and vendor area. Don't care about seeing any racing or entering my car in the show. Is that still $20 per person for only 1 day?

I'm afraid it is. You will get a wrist band that gets you in for both days.

Fair enough. I completely understand your concern.

I think the prices are very fair even if I was just there for one day. This is INDY after all! I'm sure it's not cheap to rent that place for this event.
I'm so excited! Woo hoo! |

Lucas Oil Raceway is a big venue. Typical adult prices there are $12 to $20 per day.

The reason I can't go both days is because I am registered at another car show that weekend. A railway museum is having its annual transportation show. A very nice show I have been to many times. For $5 per car you get free admission to the museum, entered in the car show, and unlimited train and trolley rides.
So $40 to look at vendor supplies and Camaros for one day does not seem like a deal to me. I am really not into Camaros. I bought mine because as far as new cars, it is the best looking car on the road. For antique cars, my area of interest, I much prefer Lincolns, Cadillacs, Packards, and Imperials. I basically just wanted to go to see what the aftermarket stuff looked like since you really can't tell much about quality or how it looks on the car just from online pics. I guess it is ok if you want to race, but I'm not really interested in racing my stock V6. If I do decide to go, it will be a one time only deal. Last edited by linc400; 07-27-2012 at 11:06 AM. |
