Clutch Sticking to the floor service bulletin

I am taking my car in tomorrow. They claim there is an adjustment at the master cylinder. Any one know what they are going to do?

Thanks in advance.

I did this and my clutch felt better. Might help you too.

I am interested to see what the dealer does to try to fix it.

They just did this on my car last week... They claim that they actually moved the master cylinder BACK 1.0625, and then did a clutch pedal relearn. Not sure how this is possible, I've never looked at it. Also can't tell if it made a difference or not by itself because they also changed the flywheel, slave cyl, throw out bearing, pressure plate, and clutch at the same time....

They told me that particular TSB came out this month also.

Sorry I do not have the number in front of me. Maybe it is on my paper work.

So far the dealer told me my clutch is fine and they do not see any issues. And they say the clutch disappearing is a safety feature to prevent damage to the clutch. Sounds like BS to me. I am going to get a lingenfelter spring and work on my driving habits. Maybe I overheated the pressure plate.

It's a band aid fix for the clutch actuator issue. Welcome to the crappy M6 transmission world....

What is the real fix you think? I would rather do it right the first time.

I had the same sticking issue. As is typical they said that they couldn't duplicate the problem and said to bring it back when I could. While driving home from the dealer on the freeway it stuck, so instead of re-applying the clutch I allowed it to stick and stick and stick... for about 5 miles. It soon overheated and the pedal went to the floor with a stream of smoke coming off of my car.

Had it towed in, and they replaced my clutch acuator cylinder, clutch plate, and replaced the fluid. Haven't had an issue with it sticking since. Now the grinding, and other transmission issues are popping back up again :(

So is it the master cylinder or slave cylinder?

I've had the same issue. Same response from My dealer. "Nothing wrong, acting normal". I'm just waiting to have mine go out completely then I'll have JDP Motorsports put in the LS9 dual disk clutch and flywheel
