Heated seat working intermittantly.

Passenger heated seat quit working sometimes, its moody. sometimes it shuts right off when you push the button, but not all the time.

Is there a service bulletin on this?

Or will it be a "can't duplicate" problem for the dealer.

I hate letting other people work on my vehicles.

Seems to me that they don't heat up unless someone is sitting on them anyway.

Could it be the sensor in the seat?

I checked those.

I was reading the other thread on this problem and it seems the dealers were just throwing new parts at it to fix this problem.

Anyone get theirs fixed for good?

My passenger seat did the same thing. Press the button and it stays on for a few seconds and shuts off. Sometimes it works ok. After reading some other threads, I tracked down the heated seat control module under the front of the driver's seat. I snugged up all of the wiring harnesses by hand and haven't had a problem since. Knock on wood.

In the other threads, one was fixed by replacing a fuse block in the engine compartment. My understanding was that his flat quit working and it wasn't an intermittent thing. The other had a wiring harness replaced and it still acted up. The last I read, he was getting the heating element replaced.

Here's the thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69443 (probably one that you've already read).
