Couldn't resist - cancelled my Camaro order today

I hope I don't regret it, but I did stay with Chevy. Got a new 08 Convertible Vette 3LT Black/Black. MSRP was $64,700 .... bought it for 51,500 with 0% financing for 60 months. At the end of the day, my out of pocket between the 2SS/RS i had on order and this car is only $5k more with a difference of $24k in the MSRP.

I am sure I will wish I had a Camaro when then arrive, but this seemed like too good of a deal to pass up.

I will resist the obligatory 'This thread is wortheless without pics' smiley but we'll be wanting to check it out.

Definately understandable. Good job.

Thats all fine and well TOMSERVO!! In my opinion more heads will turn at my Camaro then will at the vette. It is what I believe and how I feel besides It wont be that much faster. As of know a stock vette does 0-60 in 4.3-4.4. Maro will do 4.6-4.5 so maybe by a nose buddy

That's a great price for sure, congrat's. My wife has the 08 coupe, wanted the convertible, but last year they were way closer to msrp. Hope you stick around to share the Camaro love.

I agree that the Camaros will be unique. Time will tell whether they are unique forever or for a brief period of time. Either way, I am sure they will be great cars.

Still, this was too hard for me to resist, especially because I really wanted a convertible, but wasn't going to wait until 2011. I'll get photos up when I have it in hand. Have a 6 hour ride to pick it up.

I will learn to live with the round tailights and no ABL, but HUD and navigation help.

The original post states that the difference in cost is only $5k, that would put the 2SS at $46,500????? I don't see how you can get an SS much over $40k w/ every option. What am I missing?

But regardless, enjoy the new car.
