If that motor revved to 8500, came with a dry sump, and was attached to a sequential trans, I think it would be worthy of the Z/28 badge - even if the power figure was on the "low" side at around 500 hp.
Edit: looks like there's a good amount of info on it through the Chevrolet performance site. Current ratings show it at only 360 hp. Not what I would have expected. http://www.chevrolet.com/content/dam...pecs-stats.pdf |

Crazy split on that cam. 240/284. Either that's a typo and the exhaust should be 248, or it has a horrid exhaust port and they need the extra duration to get the gasses out.
