I think I just scratched my radio faceplate :(

So my Camaro mug decided to leak tea all over the place this morning, so I hit up the bathroom at work for some towels to dry out my cupholders and while doing that i swiped my radio face since there was some dust on it. Well right after I swiped it with this paper towel (mind you not a soft one, cheap bathroom towels) I saw that I made hairline sratches all across my radio screen face! Is there a product to get these out? Maybe that stuff they use to polish headlights?

There are products used for plastic windows, ie; for the windows on Jeep softtops. I'd try this first.

"Off the top of my head" , if you have a Jeep dealer close by, stop in the Parts Dept., and they sell it.

I'd look for something specific for plastic.

Meguiars has a good polish and cleaner, Mirror Glaze # 10 Clear plastic Polish & Mirror Glaze # 17 Clear plastic cleaner. Like Moose said any auto parts store should have something for headlights or plastic. Good Luck,

mine had a few scratches and residue burn-in where the window tinters leaked all over the faceplate (IPA or glue ).

I attacked it last night with "Z-AIO" (from Zaino) and its looks brand new again !!

took alot of rubbing though... "Z-PC" would have been better, but I don't have any... guess I will order some now though

That's exactly what I used; there is a small triangular plastic piece on the 4th Gen., located by the side window - mine had a small scratch in it. :( I used a small amount of Z-PC and GONE!

I use Plexus plastic cleaner. It has worked great for me with removing minor scratches in very sensitive plastic (gauge clusters, radio screens, etc) and it also cleans great without any type of residue or streaking. Heard about it a few years ago from some motorcycle buddies who swore by it for cleaning their windshields. Might be worth a shot.
