$100 includes racing and entry to Camaro Fest for both days. We drove 5k miles round trip to Indy after having a blast at C5F2 in phoenix, I budgeted it and made it work while I was still in college. If $100 kills your budget, you might really need to rethink whether or not you can actually afford a Camaro. Not trying to be an ass, but just laying out the facts, these guys aren't making money off of Camaro Fest, but rather spending their valuable time to put together an awesome event and just keep costs covered.

I'm in college and I don't think 100 is too bad now that I know the racing classes. Either way, I'll make it work.

I didn't say it was a bad price... If you want to jump to those conclusions fair enough.

RULES UPDATE

As previously mentioned NHRA rules apply. The Role cage questions about 2008 or newer cars is ANY MODIFICATION, not just body and firewall. Pretty much the same as it's always been and same as it was during past fests.

straight from NHRA. In order to be exempt from the roll
bar regulation your car must be 2008 model year or newer and be
unmodified in any way and you can run no quicker than 9.90 or faster than 135 mph..
In addition, these rules apply to test and tune sessions and track classes other than Summit E.T. series classes.
If you enter your car in Street E.T., Super E.T., or Pro E.T., you will be required to meet all safety regulations
for those categories and for the e.t. and mph. that you run.

I sat down with guys from RPR on Monday and they confirm this as well.

When i talked to the NHRA and IHRA they said different and same with Royal Puple My email also says different but if thats the rules your running we gotta respect them. So anyone running 11.49 or quicker must need a roll cage? And only cars factory stock with no mods apply to that rule correct?

Yes, I sat down with the Top Dog at RPR. Not sure who you spoke with.

Again, it's not the rules I'm running, it's NHRA and the track. Whether it's strictly enforced or not remains to be seen but plan for the strict case.

by what mlee is saying nitroman...you and I both are hosed. The question is, will they enforce it that day during tech?
There have been people there run and never even be checked for a DS loop.

That sucks. Not worth the drive if I cant race. And they would need a jack to see my DS Loop.

You can always help me push my car back on the trailer when I break it, LOL!

You can always run 1/8 mile and there's autox and just lots of Camaros to hang out with.

Question 1: Are all the classes gonna run heads up? 2: Why can't the V6 be broken into two classes; power adders and naturally aspirated?

If we run heads-up, and I race against some V6 turbo-charged Camaro, no way I stand a chance.
