😩 front bumper damage..how much in repair cost

garage door came down on front bumper, deep scratches..how much do you guys think in repair? Do you think this will need whole bumper repaint?

For underneath scrapes to my bumper from a construction cone they quoted me $478.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! That is so awful!!!!! I am thinking that whole bumper would need to be repainted.

I would recommend repainting the whole bumper, & pay them a little extra to fix any rock chips that may be on the bumper. Probably about 500. Hopefully there's a shop around you that does high quality work. Good luck!

Should I put anything over the scratches to prevent further paint chipping?

Would the dealer or local shop be best bet?

If you had the mail slot bumper you would have been fine, top GM engineers designed it to deflect garage doors.
