Soooo my uncle keeps blabbing about how their 2004 Dodge Ram Hemi will leave my 2010 Camaro Lt in the dust........I never thought about it but what will be the outcome it they were to race? I know his ram has over 350hp but we own a V8 Ram and it does pick up slower than the Camaro.

He is wrong. Check out this review of the 2009 Ram which has 45 more horsepower than your uncle's Hemi. 0-60 in 7.6, 1/4 in 15.7. That would put you at least 10 car lengths ahead in a drag race. Oh, and it's governed at 108, so after that 1/4 you will be continuing to accelerate while he is cursing at his ECM.

Tell him to put his accelerator pedal where his mouth is. There's got to be a race track closeby so it can be timed and undisputable or he'll never shut up, say you cheated, never admit he's been beaten. Those Dodge boys...

I have a 2004 2500 Hemi, and before the lift and 35" tires it was pretty quick for a truck, but I don't think it would ever compete with a V-6 Camaro. Now that I have 35" tires I know I would be SOL. The only Ram truck that would compete with the Camaro is the SRT-10 with the Viper motor.

Unless he has a ton of mods. Does your uncle have a ton of mods?

Since we are on the discussion, my dad keeps telling me when I get my camaro his '09 Ram 2500 with the 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel will smoke the camaro.... I have driven that and if it is empty he may be right, anybody know more about the situation?

Don't laugh at the Ram just because it's a truck. Trucks will surprise you sometimes. If the truck is stock, he needs to shut his mouth. If it's modified (more than just intake, catback, etc.), you might have some trouble.

ya i remember this one diesel truck with a chip, could run a 13.0 1/4 mile which is a stock SS runs
