Started my "FLOW TIE" project yesterday 6-9-14

Used my old chevy front bowtie and cut out the middle using a dremel and the cutting tool that came with it.

Finally finished the flow tie, inserted a grille look to give it a more unique look.

Used some grille from Home depot, then cut the shape out, and used adhesives to hold the grille inside.

The dremel came in handy as well.

Also added 6000K HID lights as well finally!!! Had to buy also a H9 HID harness to help with the flickering issue.

Bought HID lights from here

http://www.xenonhids.com/?gclid=CjwK...98dBoCkf7w_wcB

got harness from ebay here
http://www.ebay.com/itm/370918369468...84.m1439.l2649

Everything wired up pretty good. I grounded to the screw right above the fender linder..well inside the fender liner and then attached power to positive terminal. Everything came out lovely.

Thank you buddy,

I think that the ZL1 is one of the best looking fronts out there. The new z28 is hardcore as well, but the zl1 looks just great!!!

Update!! 6-19-2014

Been awhile, but started back on the engine bay that I have been putting off for some time now. Purchased a strut bar from a member here brand new and painted her black with a semi gloss look, then added some decals. Came out pretty nice!!

Wanted to remember a all time great car enthusiast of my time so went with the 'Remember the Buster" quote for Paul Walker.

More engine bay work to come!!!! Right along with some other cosmetic mods and DIY work.

Finished product!!! This took about 2 hours. You need a buddy to help. The most important part is just lining up and measuring so that everything is equal. But other than that it was a great mod and I think it turned out great.
