Tomorrow I Fly to Detroit - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Tomorrow is the day. Took my oldest son, Tyler, 8, out of school. He and I will be flying to Detroit tomorrow afternoon. Becky will be picking us up at the airport and taking us to Rodgers Chevy.

We drive the 640 miles home to NY on Saturday, but depending on what Tyler wants to do, maybe we'll take all backroads and stretch it into a two-day trip.

It's not often that your dad takes you out of school so the two of you can go pick up an iconic American muscle car ... in Detroit.

Excited doesn't begin to describe the feeling right now. Hope I can sleep tonight. I doubt anyone would care, but if anyone wants the play-by-play on the trip, follow me @Billy10mm (Twitter). Will put up a blog post about the trip on my website once I get back. And for the record, Becky has made this by far, by so VERY VERY far, the easiest and most delightful car buying experience in my 37 short years.

Awesome. What time will you be there? (I see afternoon). I have a 8:00 appt there for an alignment tomorrow.

Where are you staying tomorrow night? If it's nice you should cruise Woodward near 12 mile as it will be busy.

Plane lands at 4:04PM. Expect to be at Rodgers sometime between 4:30 and 5PM.

Great point though, any locals feel like having an impromptu get-together?

I would.....but I am heading two hours West to Gingerman Raceway to instruct Sat/Sun.

FYI...just watch the potholes here.

That's awesome. Congrats. I'll be on Woodward Friday night too, From 6:30 on, at about 14 mile. We hang Ducati dealership. It's always a HOOT.

Have never been to Detroit, not sure what Woodward or 14-Mile are. Have an address?
