2010 SS vs 2015 5.0

I have an 2010 2ss with CAI & an exhaust system. I was wondering how I would match up against the new 5.0 mustang in the 0-60 & quarter mile?

...you will lose...

To get more info are you LS3 or L99?
Mustang auto or stick?

In my experience though you will have to get a good launch -

Also, is there a huge difference in the l99 compared to the ls3? Both camaro make 426 hp correct? But with an CAI & exhaust I should be looking at 440ish?

The L99 is at 400 HP vs the LS3 at 426

With a CAI and exhaust you're probably looking at 420 crank HP. Throw on a tune you'll probably be at about 435 HP at the crank.

The issue is you're probably still about 150lbs heavier.

CAI-Exhaust-Tune and you'll be fine.

First of all thanks for putting up a new topic. It's been kinda boring in here. Lol. Anyways if he is any good shifting he'll beat you. If I was you I'd get a tune. The trans tune is what wakes the car up big time. Also don't paddle shift. Just put it on drive or sport mode and go. Have fun

Oh and tires!

Get yourself some 19" wheels and drag radials for the rear. Make the most of your power and get traction. You could have 100 more HP than him and it won't do any good if you're spinning...because if you're spinning, you aren't winning!

Every one will tell you if your an auto you will lose, when I was stock my brother got a 2014 manual tang and after more races than I can count we were about dead even in wins. If I got a jump I could usually hold him off, usually. I think the 2015 tang a tad slower than the 14? Get a good tune , my brother is still stock and hasn't been close since I tuned.

I have never had a problem with 5.0's. Faster coyote models are pre 14. IF they hook up your in trouble.

witnessed stang on stang races and the solid rear end pre 14 models are just faster.

Heres a vid of 2 bone stock cars...2012 vs 2015. There is a street race vid of a 15 and a 14 going at it from a dig and a roll. The 2014 pulls on the 15 everytime.
