Getting a camaro in Maryland

I ordered a 2014 1LE camaro. Its already been shipped and should be here any day.
My question for you is will i get a licence plate that day or will it be the paper one?
Also how would i go by getting a custom plate?
Thanks ive never bought a new car here.

It will be a paper license plate. good for about a month I believe. For a personalized plate you can go to mva.com, I think and search for forms for specialized plates (personalized). fill out the form with your choices if they are available. Send it in, I think it is 100 dollars a year more.

Depends on the dealer. I somehow left with hard tags which I quickly ditched for custom Bay tags. Some people still get paper when buying new. Do it through the MVA's site.

You will get a hard plate so long as the computer systems are working correct. MD is/has been trying to get away from the paper plates, so even the temp tags are the hard 1812 style plates(UGLY AS HELL). However, if you have a vehicle of the same class ( car to car, truck to truck) I would save some $$$ and transfer what I have now. Also, if you have AG Tags, or bay tags, you can transfer them to anything.
