Made my first full weight stock tire passes

Went to the grudge night drags last night to race my uncles ml63 and figured I'd try my hand racing on the goodyears. Track prep was decent at the tree but was pretty poor downtrack. First pass came out of the hole on idle and rolled into the gas(1.98 60'). was making a strong pass then about 1/2 track it broke lose and started fishtailing. let off and corrected then finished the run to the tune of 12.8 @113 and nearly soiled shorts! Second pass same soft launch and rolled into gas. Clean pass that time and ran 11.8 @120 on a 1.92 60'. Was just starting to get into the swing of it and it started to rain. All in all I was pleased. Curious to see what I could have mustered out of it with a few more runs. Storm rolling in so the air was cool but heavy. DA was around 2000all night

Nice! Get those 60's down and you are probably looking at 11.3-11.5 range based on your mph. Automatic?

I find it fun some nights to take a step back also. Lol. Last time I went I just ran pump gas and drag radials. Ran mid to low 11's. It gave me a lot more cars to race against. Best race was a couple of runs with a new BMW M5 that the guy said was tuned and had race cats.

I ran pump gas with a lower 8.66" ring (instead of a 10.0") and everything else the same. Dropped to 508hp/540 tq for my road course tune and the car still ran 11.35@121 1.70 60'. I never tried the stock rear tires like that.

Lol. Yes. I was mostly waiting for my front skinnies. I was running the bias slicks with stock front radials, decided it wasn't worth crashing my car. I pick my skinnies up Wednesday now it's raining. I do get more street cars to run against running a little slower. If I'm in the 10's they try to make me run with the hitters and I don't like the pro tree. It's a bad time of year to run here right now, our DA is usually at best 3500

to be fair my best pass was at 1100 da, negetive DA at prp doesn't exsist. LOL. That was the first time I ever tried to make a pass with the goodyears so I am pretty pleased with it. This was also with no cooling down, idling forever in the staging lanes, etc. I think there was some et left on the table, but it was just for fun.
