Continental Tires
Is the Extreme Contact DWS a good street tire for the Camaro?

I'm running 245/45/20 and 315/35/20 on mine and love them. I didn't expect it to hook as good as the stockers, but they seem to hook better. My car also drives better in my opinion, it used to want to dart side to side now nice and straight. I only have 1500 miles on them so still pretty new to me so can't say how they will hold up.

I've got the DWS 275's up front and 315's in back. They do not corner with as much grip as the P-Zeroes, and break loose on accleration easier than the Zeroes, but the treadwear and wet performance is better than the Zeroes. Plus I like the looks of all that meat under the fenders. The widths and offset of the Forgeline MD3P's help with that aspect though. I've already put more than twice the miles on the DWS's than I did on the Zeroes and have more tread left than the Zeroes after 12,000 miles.

For what it's worth, I have the Conti's on my SS. I need to get them replaced, but I have about 40,000 miles on them. Rears are about done, but front's could take another 10,000 miles or so. They wore very well.

I didn't do many burns, and most of my miles were highway miles.

I have DWS with about 1K miles on them. Very good tire and excellent traction in wet. But, if you like the stifness of a performance tire, these dont have that. They do feel a little squishy on turns and agressive cornering. Those are the trade offs of an all season tire though. They are a very quiet tire and you dont feel all the bumps on the road. Very good tire if you drive all year around.

I had on my daily driver and they were great tires. I got a friend that has them on his Camaro and he likes them, heck he went 12.7's at the track with them. I plan on getting some for mines so I can drive it more when the weather is cooler...thats when they come off backorder

Look into the BFG g-Force Comp2 that just came out. I've heard pretty good things about them. I'm thinking about giving them a try. They are cheaper than the DWS from what I've seen. Probably not as good of tread life but sounds like a better gripping tire.
I only got 11k out of my P-Zeros but I didn't baby them by any means.

The Conti DWS are a great all season street tire. You will definately be giving up some grip vs a tire like the BFG Comp2 but you will get some light snow/cold weather traction and better tire wear.
If you looking for good hook up the BFG would be a little better option. |

Need help finding good sticky tires for my Rushforth wheels. Stock width on the front and an inch wider in the rear. Its hard finding staggered tires IMHO.
