Anyone in Georgia
Hi everyone, I,m currently living in Oregon but in 4.5 years I be retiring and moving to Georgia near Atlanta or Augusta area. If you own a house could you pm me because I would like some infomation about utilities and stuff like that. I know this is not a car suject but since we are a camaro family someone could help me out before we move. Thanks.

Well I live about 50 miles NE of Atl and it's a growing area,there are a lot of factors to consider,the size of the house,number of people living in the home all factor into the cost of utilities,I think the prices are fair.I use gas,electric and during the winter gas is the primary fuel and electric in the summer and here I pay water separate from the waste water those 4 bills total around 200 a month,check out Hall county you have lake Lanier nearby,the mountains and I see many retired and active military around the area,been here for five years and love it,great schools as well.

You'll probably use a ton of electricity on a/c in the summer.. water and gas seem fair.

I'm just going to throw this out there. There is a nickname for Augusta......Disgusta. I don't currently live there, but it is one of the areas that I work in. While there are some really nice communities there most of it is not so great. Atlanta is is okay, but between traffic, property tax, utility rates, etc. you are better off looking outside the in the metro area or even just outside of the perimeter. Hall county is a great place (off course in certain areas) to live as well as Jackson County (Braselton as plenty of nice communities). really nice homes and traffic isn't bad at all.

Thank you, this what I am after. We are 4 people and looking for a 2500 to 3000 ft home. Don't want to live in the big city itself but the smaller surrounding communities. Thanks for the tips to what counties is best. I have two 3 year olds that I want to keep safe.
