The main thing is that you had fun. Were you running T/O or bracket racing?

Yeah I had a good time, a little disappointed because I ran a decently souped-up '80s mustang that could only muster 8.6's. He had slicks and all that good stuff, and when we raced (the first Time I tried it with T/C off) I almost fishtailed it off the line with me spinning a good ways until I catch traction, finally, and ended up with a 9.7. I was thinking "IF I COULD ONLY CATCH DAMN TRACTION." But it wasn't bracket racing, just get a number and race however many passes you wanted to. The track isn't really all that professional at all, it's mostly just a redneck place lol.

So as soon I as find out what to buy, drag radials wise, I'm buying them ASAP.

Look for a set of 18" ZO6 wheels. I have used M&H DR's for my truck with good results. I know there are many other brands out there as well.

I'm happy to see you using your car for what it was made to do. and LEGALLY!

I've had a couple street races and wasn't very thrilled by the experience as much as I was at the strip. I like going from a stop, going from a kick is boring to me.

CORVETTEGUYS.COM
search for 18" wheels with 40mm offset
got 2 from them and they work fine, about 600.00
The bfg 275/35/18 g force drag radials work great if you heat them up.
good luck

I would but I want to keep my twenties like I got on there. Not going to make it a total drag car, don't want it to be completely all go and no show... if I wanted to do that I'd go buy me an old muscle car lol.

To me, that'd be too much of a hassle.

Hell yes... I sometimes sit there and watch the people who actually change the tires and I've wondered, "How many times have they done that?" lol. But hey quick question, did you vinyl your bowtie or paint it? I absolutely love the way it looks.

Thanks! It's vinyl... And actually it was just a chunk of vinyl... Scott from MRT did that last time i was at the shop... asked if he had any extra vinyl.. he grabbed a roll, cut a chunk off and did the emblems in about 10 minutes... (give or take a few minutes) Front one took 2 tries...

Did he apply over the bowtie? Or do you like tear the bowtie open and take out the goldish one and replace it with the black?
