Also remember that on the 2012 dash you have some access behind the center duct that you didn't quite have on the 2010 dash.
Yeah there is a bit of extra plastic but it is still a direct replacement from the 2010s

If I hadn't already replaced my 2010 dash with a 2012 id be all over this. I guess I'll have to wait and see the end result before deciding

Not sure about others, but I would just rather remove OnStar - you might consider that an option unless it is required for other things in the install.

I just saw an OnStar box for sale on eBay last night. Idk if it can be switched from car to car, this one was supposedly out of a Cruze.

The Cruze's will work in a Camaro I am told. I wanted to add it so I can use its Bluetooth calling capabilities but I'm waiting to see where this mod goes before I decide to add it because I believe it's all in one here.

Check with the dealer.
as far as I could find out the OnStar unit is married to a specific VIN so that it can track that particular vehicle.

if you only want Bluetooth you would still have to add a mic and pipe the sound to the speakers.

I had my onstar replaced under warranty. They did part 1 of the program, and I had to do part 2 (they should have done it).

Part 1 is the dealer programs the new onstar unit to the radio.
Part 2 is you use the button for onstar then give them your vin so the subscription is activated.

Any update to this?

really looking forward to dropping the funds for this. Drove a buddy's 2011 Mustang GT/CS last weekend, and the GPS was a blaring feature in my eye that made me a little jealous that my camaro lacks.

Thanks!!
