Yep, 65-70 seems to be the optimal speed for gas mileage in my SS as well.

? MPG decrease tuning out popping on deceleration .
Not that I care but was told 1/2 mile per gallon. Is this true.

I've averaged low 20's on my v8 (DIC currently reads 21.5). In contrast, my old v6 in the same commute would average 23.8-24 according to the DIC. This seems to be about average with what I've seen posted here previously...

My wife's car... Non-Tuned 2011 1SS A6 with K&N Typhoon CAI and Magnaflow Axel-Back.....

1) Flat smooth concrete w/ recommended tire pressure running 75 mph = 25 mpg and at 80 mph = 21 mpg
2) Same conditions @ 65 mph = 28.5 mpg
3) Daily average shows 18.0 mpg with 50/50 city & highway for the commute

I've seen 1-2 mpg improvement with the tires slighlty over-inflated.

All MPG Numbers quoted were checked via the Avg MPG per the vehicle read-out and not hand calculated.

I am quite impressed with the mpg.

There you go, not only fuel savings but also cost savings on the air filter since you never have to replace it! So you are actually goign to save money because of it, and that is exactly what I would tell my wife!

I have the same cai as you but with GM axle back and get the same results. Although doing 65 is really boring....
