Pictures aren't always enough - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Before I bought my car, I had ruled out white as a color option, decided I would buy a spoiler (probably the Blade) wanted stripes all the way down front and back, etc. - all based on all my on-line research. So when I went to actually take the steps to purchase, they happened to have a White one on the lot, and that color went immediately to the top of my list. Then I decided I didn't want stripes or a spoiler with the white, etc. etc. - everything changed.

So today I saw my first 2012. From all the pictures here I hated the new steering wheel and gauges, but now that I've seen them I find that I like them - it just isn't the same seeing them in pictures. From now on I'm reserving judgement until I see the real thing in person.

There is something about a white Camaro in person that sets it off compared to other colors.

White certainly looks like crap online - especially on the Chevy website.

They really need to improve their website, with so many people buying everything online a slick site could win some new customers. As it is you can't even see what some of the options look like.

I love the white with the orange striping. The GF put the kabash on that for me though :( she said it was too flashy. But I love my black one just as much

I got the same thing when I wanted Orange. We agreed on white. Nice and subtle. (Like a chainsaw)

I agree I hated the 2012 but when I actually when to the dealer and saw it I liked it. The steering wheel was smaller and had a better grip to it and the gauges aren't as bad it's more sporty than retro.

Get the white and have medium blue stripes painted on... looks awesome and you'll be the only one around with those colors

Same here. Black and the metallic red were the only colors we considered until we went to buy it and they had a white one in the showroom. Dealer told us a white LS just came in, and tho I had wanted a 2LT (wife wanted the SS), we drove it and loved it. Tho we 'settled' for the LS, I can't imagine liking the car any more than we do this one. Saved a ton of scratch, as well!
