Well dumb ass me I just bought the new plasma V2 afterburners. I have my fingers crossed

j/k, but AAC does make some good products I guess its hit or miss though. I have their RGB bowtie and ghosted sidemarkers no issues to date.

I gotta say Diode Dynamics has the best customer service to date. I had some warranty issues they sent me the replacement product along with a return shipping label. Now thats how its done folks.

I have been working with diode dynamics since 2010 and have always been well taken care of. Paul has always been very accommodating and easy to work with.

If he would make tail light led rings, I would have them already lol

Alright - So Oracle held up its end of the deal - Received the older model of the afterburners today and installed it. Everything's back to normal and I'm once again a happy camper.

Hopefully I'll have better luck in the future - and can also tell them to send out the "oldschool" version if I need replacing.

Sweet.

Some mods, while cool, just aren't worth the hassle. after seeing all the trouble people have had on this site, I filed this mod under "nope".

Haha - lasted a good year - and everything else is going strong. Love the way it looks too much to say no - and eventually I'll upgrade it to something that really lasts

I bought a set of plasma afterburners off of eBay for $100 and they have been great. Been on the car for 3 months already.

I would like to post a situation here with AAC:

back Nov Dec ..had 1 of the HOD bulbs go out... The BS and aggravation and hassle to find ORIG paperwork was stupid. The Policy of paying for a new set and returning old for refund sucks, crappy way to treat customer.....Eventually got the new set

Fast forward :

July 2014..well..one bulb goes out again..... No the same to just "throw a reg bulb in" so buy a set of silverstars...[no where near same :( ]..40.00........
Called AAC...unsure which lady spoke with ..explained situation to her....she said dl & fill out the RMA form....so RMA form says ..near bottom of 2nd page(back)...that customer agrees to pay shipping for return of defective if deemed not their fault or whatever., I CROSSED the line out with ink & added I WILL NOT PAY FOR RETURN OF DEFECTIVE PARTS . SEND NEW ONES.
Then I signed it.

I dunno if if was that...(lol doubt it)..or a step in right direction by AAC but immediately next day or so I got a email from UPS saying package was on its way to me....

Several days later a new set of HOD bulbs arrived. I sent no invoice, blah blah. just the RMA form and the defective product.

That is the WAY customer service is SUPPOSED to be....

Rick
