F/S Vararam Intake $175

I have a early model Tune Only Vararam intake. I ran it on my non-tuned car for less than 300 miles. I waited to put it back on until I got a tune, which I never did. Selling it for $175+ shipping.

So is this "early" model different than if I ordered one from Vararam today? Thanks interested.

I'm not 100% sure. I know the early non-Tune versions had some bucking problems but I don't know if the Tune only version had it as well. That said, I don't know if you would have bucking issues with a Tune only version if a tune is applied.

No bucking issues on my tune only model. I did get a generic tune at the same time.

This is an earlier model (newer models have the radiator extention plus a screen to direct airflow).
If you are the original buyer of the intake, you should be able to contact Vararam and get a brand new Vararam intake.
Just recently I contacted Vararam and they sent me a new intake because my tune only Vararam had some surging/bucking issues at cruise speeds.

The older versions are under warranty. If you have any issues with it, they will send you a brand new Vararam (new version).

I'd give them a call.

Picture of said changes? Is this intake a problem intake before the issues were fixed or is this intake fine?

Sorry I haven't been back in a while. The newer intake has longer extention that extends further down in front (to direct air into the intake mouth). It also has the honey comb screen (inside) to help control air flow.

The eariler models have some tuning issues. Some guys have had good luck with them, while others have had a lot of bucking/surging issues at cruise rpms
(1800 - 2000 rpms or so).
Mine had a lot of surging/bucking at cruise speed, in certain air conditons.

But I ran mine on my car for over a year like that, because my car ran fast times at the track. I finally got around to calling Vararam about the problem and they sent me out a new intake.

The Tech/engineer at Vararam will explain the difference between the newer model and the earlier model if you call them. He went into great detail explaining why the earlier models have bucking issues with me on the phone.
