Just things lost in different ways of doing things, and things lost in translation.
Brasil is very different than the US in many ways but in tbe US once a part is used or modified even if it is wrong generaly it is no longer considered returnable. You either return the part for a refund, or return for the correct part.

If it can be of any use to you in the future you can PM me in Portuguese and I will have my Wife translate a response based on what is usual in the US.

I am thinking the OP thought it was ok to modify and install the wrong part, and also recieve the correct part, which may be what is normal in his country.

Um he is from another country. Being familiar with this yes the Portuguese keyboard is way different, as are the sounds of the alphabet. He is doing just fine and I encourage him to participate here instead of thinking his English is bad and disappear.

If I bought a set of midpipes that were screwed up, you told me it would take a week to ship new ones (which is too long in the first place), then two weeks later you respond with a quick two-liner that still has no definite date:

"Our shipping department has informed us that we still do not have our stock order to reship you the new kit. They are saying that we should have the new kits soon. We do apologize for the delay."

"We apologize for the delay" is not enough. I don't care if YOU have a problem with YOUR manufacturer.

I'd be upset too.

Does everyone understand that Phastek does not manufacturer these parts themselves and that they can only go by the ETA provided to them by the manufacturer?

It is hard to under stand the way the words are typed. First he should of not put them on if he did so. Put the stock parts back on & drive the car until this situation is settled. I believe I'm reading all this correctly & I can not for any reason see where the original problem is their fault. The problem was JBA fault & they owned up to it. So you should accept their apology. When you get the new parts let Jason know & make arrangements with him to send the bad parts back. I have spent over $30,000 on my car just from Phastek Performance. Had 2 problems and they were both fixed with no loss of money or bad mouthing them. One of the problems I made money off them.

This is just my personnel opinion and no one else. Spike III Thank You

No doubt the Camaro is insanely expensive in Brazil to begin with. It is a rare thing to see in that country.

It is unfortunate in that it sounded like his car was apart and the defect found. I wouldn't of liked waiting around either, but stuff happens. And I could never put down a vendor who is making every effort to address a problem that was somewhat out of their hands.

I have to say, I would't be too happy with that setup even if they did the step they missed. Why not make a flange that matches the OEM instead of using a larger one and reaming out the hole? Am I missing something here? Note to self. Stay doing business in my state only and not beyond.

Phastek gets parts from manufacturers sometimes at a discount you cannot even get from the manufacturers themselves. I know I just bought ACC flamed custom air brushed rally stripes and custom rally sport headlight covers paint crystal red both for cheaper than I could have got them otherwise and thanks to a 4th of July sale.

Sure it took about a month for the stripes, and a little more than that for the headlight covers but I only had to contact them once and they were on there way right after that. Custom made products do take lead time, places receive orders and do them in batches and they are not necessarily just sitting there off the shelf. Having a communication problem would of course not help and being far away also, and mostly the customer did not do a mock up by holding the part under the exhaust which could have taken all of 5 seconds by the installer to see if it was going to work. Just my humble opinion, but the OP had a installer that did not help things or he could have backed out before cutting anything and stayed stock until the better part came along as one brands x pipe versus another brands high flow cats on stock exhaust does not mean everything will fit, and the elongation of the holes is something that may not have been needed on a header bolt, or the extension of the stock manifold to hit the exhaust. Just a few thoughts. Also the headers with high flow cats are put together usually with bands allowing the length and fit to be altered.

I had great experiences from PhastekPerformance. Sounds like they were trying to take care of it but there was a simple miscommunication, not because of either party but just because of a language barrier.
