Sirius using shark fin

Is there a way to plug in a sirius radio into the shark fin antenna.
I have sirius radio and love it and would like to use it in this car without buying an xm+best of sirius.

Go aftermarket. Knowing GM/XM they put some proprietary BS into the antenna design to prevent people from doing just this. (That was my Avionics Hater inside talking about antennas in general, pay no heed oh FBod.)

You should probably have to grab the antenna feed coming into the back of the radio, but then you won't get any AM/FM reception. Not sure if you could put a Y connector in there or not.

Sirus and Xm merged if i am not mistaken. When I renewed my xm service they asked me if I wanted the best of xm or sirus. so I dont know they also merged some of sirus to xm. Like I loved the squizz channel but now it is octane from sirus.

I looked into this whenI first ordered the car.

TSSRadio.com does sell a conversion box for about $80 that works with many GM vehicles to convert the XM to Sirius. As well they sell an antenna adaptor to convert the XM antenna to Sirius. I think it was like $20. HOWEVER none of the convertors were certified on the Camaro yet, but I am sure that GM would not upgrade the XM brain for 1 car. From what I have read though this converted antenna loses signal a lot more than a standard Sirius antenna.

I decided against this idea however. The reason is, all Sirius and XM music channels are merged now, so the only thing you lose are channels you can gain back with the best of sirius package. If you take the cost to do the upgrade and divide it over the year it comes out to the same or more money. And you get worse reception... Why bother?

You can get the best of Sirius with the xm package. Most of the channels are Sirius channels.
