I use mine for in between washes, when you just need to get the dust off. The "Filter" works good, and $13.99 is a great price for two!

wow who ever said it was good sure was lying, i bought it when i got my scion brand new off the lot and wanted the best for it well mr clean wasn't very clean. don't waist your money on it just go buy some micro fiber towels a bucket some meguires car soap and have at it and of course don't wash your car in direct sunlight. I know not to do that and i did with the camaro cause it was the only time i had and it left bad water marks that are now in the paint, the sun burns the clear coat and they are in the car for good needs new paint. also make sure your water isn't hard like ours here in california and we have a filter on it and still leaves water spots both my cars have them.

I have well water too and the water spots that come with it. I've got one of these Mr. Clean things but since I moved into this house, the only thing I use it for is a final rinse with the filtered water. Their soap leaves streaks when it's warm out and the filters now seem to last about half as long as they did when I lived somewhere that had city water.

Given the cost of filters (saw them at Walmart for $5.88 the other day) and how poor it does as a "System", I picked up an inexpensive ($29) 5 micron whole house filter system from Home Depot the other day and will just use that inline with the hose instead since it will flow a lot more per minute than the Mr. Clean thing will.

I use it on my Chevelle and Camaro....works great as long as you use it correctly. You have to be sure the entire car stays wet until you can give it a final rinse at the filtered setting. I used it on my dad's 57 Bel-Air and he was absolutely amazed that the car did not have to be hand dried.

One tip, use a leaf blower to get the trapped water out from behind emblems, body seams, or moldings. Otherwise, the excess water will drip out and cause some streaks that might not evaporate quick enough to avoid spots. Use the blower at a medium speed and keep it aimed up from the ground to avoid any dirt or debris from kicking up onto the car.

I would highly recommend it...especially for the price!

I gave this system more then a fair shot as i got it as a gift but with the water in these parts it sucked big time. First the soap is garbage period. Its the most overpriced consumer soap i think ive seen as well as it sucks. It says dont use other soap as it might clog it up but i can tell you the ice soap and gold glass works in it. The filters arent cheap really either as you will be replacing several of them a year if u have more then 1 car nice little cash cow for them. Did i mention the soap sucked. Its made of cheap plastic so every dam time i sat it down the back cover that holds the filter came off really annoying. Changing the settings is a royal pain in the ass. The soap dispensing aka suds setting is laughable you have to squint to see if any soap comes it out its soo bad. The car looked brutal after the so called auto dry system didnt do much for my cars. I have 2 black cars they dont lie they tell all they had a nasty haze on them. But the dumbest thing about it was u have to pull out your bucket to clean the wash mitt if your car is really dirty. There logo is ban the bucket ya right It says to use the rinse to clean the mitt but its still really dirty so unless u like scratch's on your clear coat you gota use your bucket. It gets a 1/10 epic failure. These are my personal experience's i didnt like it at all it goes to the yard sale ill take any offer i get for it. If you want to learn how to properly clean your car read some of moose's posts he knows his stuff.

I use it on my new Camaro. Only use it in the shade and we have a water softner. Also have an extra long hose on my husbands air compressor so I use that to blow out settling water in mirrors, lights etc.

Thanks all for the replies - I'm going with chevyman's Meguires car soap and rolnslo's whole house filter recommendations - I passed on this deal.

I used it a few years ago it worked great left the car totally dry but u have to keep buying filters and thats the kind of thing that makes these things worthless most people wont keep buying them and the filter rinse does not work any more , you would probably use it for a while then wont , and beware i left it out in the cold one year and it cracked and was useless
