I was lucky to score one of the first special 1k Solstices (#83), I was the only one for three months (Sky was months away). I got my 06 Solstice on 8/26/05, people did not know what it was, but they loved it. The Camaro will bring the same reaction. I am on my third Solstice now, if you ever have the need for a true American roadster, may I highly suggest the Solstice GXP. |

Since the two local dealers were allotted a total of 5 between them, and neither took preorders, it's possible I may be one of the first to own one in my area.
Every other dealer is about an hour away (I ordered from one of those). Unless it takes them 3, 4, 5 or more months to get me mine anyway... That would give the two local ones the chance to sell anything they MAY have gotten in that time. I look forward to losing my 'wow virginity'. LOL |

The preorder process is a bitch. I'm very surprised that I'm going through it again with the Camaro. Hopefully this turns out better for me. I sold my Solstice after having for about 3 months. I had very similar experiences. Many people came up to me and said, "That's a Pontiac?!?!?". Quite funny.

This is a good thread... Believe it or not, I've been asked if my current '02 SS is the new 2010 a couple of times Lets you know how clean my daily driver is It did let me know that the people asking me had never seen the car but only heard of it.

I was a lucky owner of a SSR BLack and Black #36.
Got it the year that it was the pace car at the Coke a Cola 600. All kinds of lookers. Had one time we parked way out in the boons at a store. Came out and saw a lot of cars and people out by it. When we got there the first thing they said is can we see the top go down. HA HA It was a lot of fun and great way to help pump up GM vehicles. Am looking forward to a similar experience with my Camaro 2SS/RS. When I finally get it. |

get that with the good ol 77 Vette, and personally I hate when people bring a new gen car to a calssic show, like people with new tangs and challengers.. arg... But damn I cant wait for this maro I might just end up a hypocrite.. try not to though be to busy cruiseing for show.. just hope i dont end up neglecting the vette. it was my first dream car, the maro my second

this is going to be the first car i've bought on my own merit. one hell of a cherry popper huh? haha. especially for a 21 yr. old kid. i hope i'm not 22 before i get it ha. but anyways, i hope when i'm driving it around town i get people gawking and poking and prodding and asking tons of questions. this car just deserves to be in the spotlight
