Will mods make my ride bad?
So on my 2011 2SS A6 before I sold it for the ZL1 M6, I had ARH with hiflow cats, a CAI, and a tune on it. It was an automatic and the tune was awesome but when shifting gears mainly 1->2 and 2->3, it wasnt silky smooth like a completely stock camaro it was pretty firm and jumpy to my unliking. I am wondering if I modify my Z with similar mods if it will be like that? Since this ZL1 is a manual and I will be doing the shifting instead of the car's computer will it be smooth or will it be a lot firmer?

The only mod that can affect you car like your talking about is possibly a large cam where you can get some surging in lower gears at low speed or something do to the idle not being smooth at all.
Then obviouly if you upgraded the clutch to a different style it can grip differet or chatter depending on the design. as for the shifting that is your job and more about how you manage the clutch than anything esle. a sloppy release of the clutch into second could prababy give the passenger whiplash ha ha but it would be your fault. So far I really like the stock clutch and shifter. MGW's shifters I have used on Vette's are better but this shifter is decent.
