Hmmmmmmm.............. Pete that might be a great idea. I'll have to think of a good scheme.

what cam you go with (specs)?
Cam card is coming in the next post.

I think a rear cog drive would be a cheaper option. The harmonic balancer is balanced to the crank. Would that throw it off possibly?

what's that - about 9* overlap @.050? and that's compared to -3* with the last one.
i'd expect to see a bit less boost unless you drop back to the 2.8
on the blower drive, are you running a 1:1 right now? even if you cogged it, i'd expect to start seeing belt slip with the stock 6rib and a 2.8
i know my 2.9 would most likely slip if i swapped from my underdrive to a direct just from the extra load... but then again, at 15psi or so on a stock engine, i'd have other things to worry about

now on the other hand, with the more aggressive cam, you'll probably come close to balancing out the loss of boost pressure - just without as flat a curve, i'd imagine.

and please - anybody who knows i'm wrong on something, call me out on it. these are just the conclusions i've reached from my recent research on how cam specs affect the power curve - particularly on PD blower cars... which was way over my head when i started a couple months ago.

PQ trying to understand this info >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

lol

My rear drive is 1:1 right now. I was hoping to put a small and large pulley set in back to spin it faster and still put a larger pulley in front?

It does want to noodle up the edge a little. I'd be careful on body panels. haha

My Buddies V6 hood starts to vibrate and flop around over 100MPH with the Hex Vents.

that is a good plan. the overdrive kit will let you get more belt wrap & surface contact up front due to the bigger pulley & therefore less chance to slip.

hmm...
i know you ain't too keen on the cog sound and wanted to stay with a ribbed kit, and i've been seriously contemplating swapping to a 1:1... you thinking what i'm thinking?
