When this same situation happened to me years ago, it was the straw and I aggressively started practicing some defense tactics for when the need for using a parking lot arises. Your best defense is common sense; Try not to be obvious that you are sensitive with your car. Park your car in far and out of site places, but don't make yourself that obvious (and do not make the mistake of taking up two spots...that could lead to key marks later). It is also a good move to park next to other well cared for and/or mint cars.

In general I avoid parking situations like this with my Sunday best, but if and when I use parking lots then I park carefully and I watch closely.
I really think the majority of these situations are the result of an oblivious person and not a malicious person. That being said, I do agree with taking precautions to protect your vehicle.

Maybe someone else side swiped their car ? Maybe they think your the loser ? You have no idea how the damage happened to their car.

Here's another good parking job!

Saw this one a couple of weeks ago! No handicap placard was visible.

No placard was present. I specifically looked for that!

That's a whole different parking fail. Call the non-emergency police number and report it.

I just had another thought, my MIL comes to visit a couple times of year and she has a handicap placard. We forget to deploy it occasionally when we are ferrying her around. Maybe that happened here.

You people have to much time on your hands, taking pictures of how people park ? Does this keep you up at night ? Do you worry as much about raising your kids or other important things in life ? Alot of you need to get laid !!!!

I would understand that one if your passenger was the one who was handicap.
