winter driving

Hi, I'm a fairly new camaro owner and this is my first winter with her. We don't get much snow and ice but enough to worry me a little. For those of you that drive year round, what do you do/use to help?

I am sure many will recommend a good winter tire. And be careful. Lightweight and power don't mix well in winter conditions.

Pretty much the only thing you can do with the Camaro is get good winter tires.

Thanks! And unfortunately I have Toyo tires. Not a huge fan of them.

They are an all weather type tire I believe... Great in the rain, not so great in the summer.

Good tire store can help you out. You want to grab the road the best you can.

Are they actually all weather? and not all season? If you can afford winters - great. Do that.

Hmm. I'm actually not sure. All season probably. The guy at Las Schwab said they are good tires but not that great in snow or ice. Sorry, I'm not too knowledgeable in the tire department. I can't drop 3 grand on tires at the moment, the rims are 22 inch so it's already gonna be a tougher tire to find, only a few to choose from.

The best all season tires imo, are Continental Extremecontact dws. I was worried that they would not do very well but put them on my bmw before I made the decision as to whether or not im going to proceed with buying winter tires. I ended up driving them throughout the whole snowy mn winter. I think they come in 22's too.
