Need some advice on a deal

So, as in my previous post, I ordered a new 13 2SS/RS. Another dealer called me today and they have a 12 Synergy Pack 2SS/RS and would sell it for 40,500 plus tax, tag and title. They say this is $1205 off preferred pricing and $2825 below MSRP. Is this a deal?

Not since you can get '13's, IMO... they can do better on a price drop since it's now last year's model. Plus it doesn't come with any of the upgrades the '13 has, like the touch screen.

$40,500... man, that is high for a Camaro, even if it's an SS

The synergy one has the regular 20 inch wheels on it. Its a 5,995 option, just not sure its worth it

It's not worth it IMO. You get the heritage grille, Synergy stripes, red stitching in all leather items, ground effects, ambient lighting in footwells and cupholders, red engine cover accents... all stuff that can be obtained aftermarket for like half the price of this package.

And I thought it had these wheels...?? Anyway I guess it depends on if all that stuff is worth it to you, it wouldn't be to me. But that's just my .02

You'll be happier with it. Plus it's awesome to have a car custom built for you

That sounds about in line with what I've been seeing... I was looking at a '12 fully loaded 2SS/RS back in June and they wanted $39,495 for it.

the price has steadily crept up over the last two years, but you are getting a NICE ride. 2SS/RS right? So it should be fully loaded. Boston Acoustics, Convenience and Connectivity package, all that...? I'm not sure exactly how they're doing all the packages with the new upgrades. Do you have a Private Offer from GM? You might think about trying to dig one up and seeing if you could use it; might be $1k off. But I'm not sure if you can use them when you order the car. Check the GM website.

Good luck and post pics when it arrives!
