No. Not really, its funny because a bunch of the guys I work with believe this too. But my closest friend just opened his own cpa firm, and that's not how it works.

But its not like they take as much as the feds do.

I mean, I knew there were tint laws, but ive never had a ticket, when I got my car I simply didn't think about it. I hardly drive it, 6k miles in 3 years. So when I got it inspected last year, I found someone that would do it.

Its never a problem until you get pulled over.
How are you less liable? Do you only pay half the fine if you didnt put the illegal stuff on your car?

Also, I don't see how the company you work for can charge you state income tax if you're not a legal resident of that state. I don't pay KS income tax because I'm a legal resident of Texas.....

No, when I file, I do a federal income tax, but it also has a section if you earned income in another state. You just enter the numbers you earned from that state. I get a w2 from my work for both federal and and state.

I said less liable for criticism purposes.

Example.

"you are a dumbass why would you get 6 percent tint on your car"

me: " I didn't know it was 6 percent, it was installed when I purchased the car"

Understand?

And as far as the Kansas deal, I don't know anything about that. I just know I have to pay income tax in Oklahoma.

those are gone on highways, and if you do get tagged and receive a letter just don't respond. By law you have to be served.

But if you ignore them they might send a process server after you. So if you ignore everyone and don't meet new people for 60 days you're good.

It depends on which part of California you live. Where I live you only smog at change of ownership. I haven't smog tested my suburban a single time since I bought it in 2001. If I keep my Camaro, I will never have to smog it.

I should also note we have several cars with tinted windows and have never been hassled about it. I think the police only use tinted windows as an excuse to pull over punks around hear.

Yeah, I know about that. Not a lot of people live in smog exempt areas....

But since you do, enjoy.

Did you purchase the car sight unseen from Oklahoma?

More importantly, I see you're from TX, did you happen to own a ZL1 prior to this? With mimimal water damage?

Cops here don't even care about having no front plate. About 1 of every 5 cars here don't have front plates.
