Line Lock... whos got it ?

Im getting my baby ready for the world footbrake challange this year. Im in the market for a line lock set up. Its gonna be tuff since its an m6 but im up for the challange. My biggest prob is going too be shifting consistancy. I would really like too see some pics of your line lock and where you mounted the button. Its 10,000 too win each event totall of 30,000 for 3. My other halfs father won the first race last year. Gonna be racin too the '1000 foot mark.

I asked the same question. I got my Hurst Line Lock from JDP Motorsports earlier this month. I haven't installed it just yet but plan to before the summer.

I got mine from Andy at ADM Performance.. He installed it using the Cruise ON/OFF button to arm it and the Cruise Release button to hold the pressure to the front wheels. Works like a charm !!

TCI has a 2010+ Camaro kit. That's what I installed. Then I changed to a Billet shifter and used a Hurst shift knob with a button for line lock. Also installed a switch in the center console to turn the shift knob off, so I don't accidentally activate it while on the streets. If I want to will take about 5 mins to change shift knobs.

The TCI unit was very clean and relatively easy to install.

Thanks

Steve at SJM has very good customer service. He answered the phone and talked with me for a while about his kit. The SJM kit is also the least expensive one out there. I've only heard of one person having an issue with SJM on this forum and Steve fixed him right up when he was contacted.

However, I decided to go with Hurst because of the fact that it mounts up under the master cylinder (I think TCI does as well) as apposed to SJM's mounting up front and to the ABS block. Some don't mind that the selinoid and lines are right there when you open the hood but for me I would prefer it to be more hidden. The Hurst cost me $20 more through JDP Motorsports.

As of right now im leaning more towards the hurst setup. I dont want to drill any holes though... Do u have a pic of it mounted? I def want to mount it on the shifter.

I don't have mine insalled yet but you can look at post #32 here
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ne+lock&page=2

I don't think there is any drilling required. He mounting bracket comes in the kit and mounts with one of the bolts from the master cylinder.

Its a Billet Products shifter. I guess its a Aussie company. Haddad Motor Sports did the install. The TCI line lock is installed right under the master cylinder. As mentioned before, they also installed a switch in the center console to to activate/deactivate the line lock button.
