Opinion on SS Sedan?
I'm thinking about picking one of these up.
What's every ones thoughts on them? To me they are a Four door Camaro. The only thing I really don't care for is the cheap chrome inserts in the seats, I would black those out though. I know this is a Camaro forum, but the two are closely related. Thank you for your thoughts! |

Get it while you can. Holden is practically gone and so will these. I think it would make a good sleeper if you can keep it quiet.

I personally think the exterior is too bland. It's just not aggressive enough. The interior, from what I've seen, looks pretty sporty and top notch.

If I could get the SS interior with the Camaro Exterior I would be ecstatic.

I agree the Exterior is not aggressive enough, but I do like it.
I bet a nice set of wheels and tinted windows would help a lot. The Interior is done very well except for the Chrome additions to the seats. What was GM thinking? |

There's a few Chevy SS owners that visit this forum. They all love theirs. If I had the money it would definitely be a contender in that price range. Personally I like the idea of having a sporty car that blends into traffic. You avoid a lot of assholes that way. |

It is some what of a 4 door camaro but a stock ss is a better all around car then a(flame suit on) camaro ss. Before all you guys grab your pitch forks im talking facts not opions. I agree the ss is lacking in the agressive looks department but it's still a nice looking car

I would agree with this 100%. If I could afford it, I would have gotten an SS over my Camaro. It's a better car, and it's a lot more unique. Plus sleeper cars are awesome.

I used to own a Pontiac G8 GT (Holden commodore) and it was a great car! My only complaints were that it did have quite a lot of body roll and it was a auto.. If I had bought a GXP from the get go I think I would still have it. The SS being 5-6 years newer than my G8 was it must be leaps and bounds better

Essentially the SS is just a remake of the G8's

They should have made it at least look nicer than a Pontiac G8, but they didn't and charged $5k more.

It seems like I'm the only person I know that LOVES the Chevy SS! I considered trading in my Camaro to get one but had a change of heart and said I will pay this one off then pick one up. Really, wifey gave me the side eye because she couldn't believe I was willing to part ways with my Zen after all we been through to get her. That showed me that she loves my girl just as much as I do . I'm hoping I can still find one at a later time either brand new or a low mileage used one. But If I had the money today, without a doubt I would be rolling the Chevy SS.
It has just the right amount of aggressiveness to me. People that don't know what it is would mistake it for a Malibu. I love that. I dig the interior also and the fact that it comes with all the bell and whistles. If I was you, it would be in my driveway right now lol. It being an automatic can no longer be used as an excuse because you have the option of a manual now. Also you have Brembos in the front and rear now along with the Magnaride. You're good to go! |
