Thumbs up Purchased 2012 Terrain

So after lots of driving around and speculating on what to buy my wife...we bought the 2012 GMC Terrain SLE-2. It was time to say good bye to our Avalanche which was an awesome vehicle. Gas cost and insurance are lower with this vehicle. Our payment dropped considerably as well. So far it's been great and would recommend it to anyone that doesn't need the third row in an SUV.

The engine is the tried and true 2.4L with ratings of 32 mpg highway and 22 city. So far we haven't even driven 200 miles in a week so not sure what the mileage is going to be. I'm sure it will be better than the 17 combined we got with the Avalanche. The other bonus is this thing doesn't at least appear to be a wimpy crossover. The Equinox is nice but it looks like a car. The styling is way better than any import crossover or Ford crossover IMHO. Anyway here are some pics of the new ride.

Love these vehicles. My only complaint about our 2010 Equinox is the lack of rear air conditioning vents.

I noticed that as well and thought it was odd. I guess we will have to aim the vents just right.

Tough car to cool in hot areas but other than that a really, really nice car esp for the money.

I can't believe they haven't corrected this issue. It's a well documented complaint. That and no on star support for the phone app for model year 2010

Nice, congrats!

The exterior styling, especially the front, looks great on the Terrain. Equinox is also nicely done as well. I'm also a sucker for the Buick Enclave.. Just love the flowing curves and design features of the exterior.

Sometimes I wish we would have went with the GMC for its looks. But it's okay because the Equinox is my wife's car anyway.

Both are great crossovers, BUT I could not get past how some of the Terrains body lines looked like the Pontiac Aztek....look at the fenders...

2010 Equinox LTZ V6 has 25K miles on it now.....great car; our teenage boys drive it now....very safe!!

That's the only thing I don't like about my 2011 Equinox also.

Thanks guys. Ponyman I don't see the same lines from the Aztek. Obviously the Terrain sells way better for a reason. Time to go vomit from having to see another Aztek lol.

These 2012's almost have the mylink. The only thing it doesn't do is play the Pandora app off the phone unless I plug it in.

Good looking rig!

I'm waiting for GMC to open up the 2013 model year, I'm going to order a 13 Denali!
