Any word if we will be able to buy the complete assembly or if we will have to get them in pieces?

The seats are plug and play with the factory ones. Only things I don't know if you'll have to buy the side airbags separately.

If it's $1,995 for the option (which is only on hardtops, not available in convertibles-at least not yet), you can bet if you had to buy them over the counter you can double that price at least.

Unless GM comes up with an "upgrade" package like in their performance catalog with a group rate price, you can probably expect closer to 5 grand for that, MSRP. That's my guess.

Ford sells theirs for 2500 a pair, in leather. Optioned on a car they are 1600.

We can only hope the pricing is reasonable.

They are available for convertibles, but don't have side airbags.
