well im not under 25 but i am 25...i was quoted from geico at 1333 for 6 months and 1519 with the camaro and my 92 300zx(minimum liability) for 6 months...so that puts me at 222 for just the camaro and and 253 for both a month...i have a clean record and was told by the rep that im one of their prefered customers when i said wow i thought it'd be more...prefered just meaning that my record is clean and has been that way for some time now...last incident was when i flipped my fathers truck back in 2001...

oh and if credit has anything to do with it, my credit is ok nothing spectacular...around 660-670

The car is going in my wifes name. It's a loaded 2SS/RS. In Canada there is a company called grey power it's for people over 50 with good driving records. Our insurance with the best coverage available and a $500. deductable is just a little less than $1200.00 a year

im surprised you were able to get a loan with a 1000 deductible.

Anyways that seems high, somebody at your age should be at about 150-200 bucks at the worst. You arent going to get a great rate but 407 a month is crazy. Another thing to take in mind is your credit this factors in on your insurance as well.

My son's dropped about $10/month to $104 from his 2005 Cadillac STS he traded in and he increased his coverage and lowered his deductables. What a pleasant surprise.

He's with State Farm.

Good luck!

Honda's are another high theft car. Thus the cost. People pay more to insure a civic than Vettes down here in S. Fla

Also if your parents own a home, have home insurance plus a car(s),State Farm will add you on (like an umbrella) to their policy but you will get a separate bill for your car.

My 23 yr old son had to do that when he got his honda 2-door civic and "crotch" rocket..I mean motorcyle.....we have State Farm
