Cam swap = slower car???

Any reason that my car is slower after a cam swap?

It's a 226/238 .605/.615 113lsa

My tuner says he got the most out of my car already cause my AFR shows it. It's at 12.7 at WOT.
Just cause my AFR is good does it mean my car is tunes good? Could that be the problem, my tune?

First (A6 or M6)?

Second - how do you know your car is slower (track times?)

Third - dyno numbers?

Extra power causing tire spin and you feel like you are moving slower

M6

I dynoed it at my friends new mustang dyno and it read stupid low, it said my car only made 384whp and my buds cobra made 365whp. We did a few pulls behind his shop and the results were the same as when I only had long tubes and intake.

A larger cam in an automatic can sometimes make it slower because of a loss of low end torque. That's why most guys run higher stalls with aftermarket cams.

That's why I was curious whether he was an A6 or M6.

I've known guys to get aftermarket cams in their automatics and afterwards they couldn't even spin the tires on the street.

Seeing your in Texas, you should have Andy at ADM check out your car. How far are you from ADM's shop?

Your tuner didn't give you dyno results?

My friend that has the dyno Just bought the dyno and can't tune but he didn't want to let my tuner use it. So my tuner just used a wideband and a private farm road he owns.
He did a damn good job tuning it with just bolt ons but with this cam I'm starting to doubt him.

Well, yeah, it is what it is. Could be any reason for the different "feel". Next door to hell, temperature wise, could explain it.
