NEW BONE STOCK RECORD - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Im sure alot of people will have a hard time believing these time slips, but all it came down to was breaking it in Darrin Morgan style. Gathering info from people like Orange chevy II and Ranger accleration. And being around racing my whole life. My dad and i made a 5 hour trip to Bowling Green KY. saturday cause my 12.92 at St. louis had to many what ifs. ! The 10 mph head wind , shifting into 4th instead of staying in 3rd and the track wasnt there for my 60ft. Not that it matters but i had Clay Jones the track owners son who ran the starting line sign my slips. They had the starting line perfect at Beech Bend . My C/SA 71 Chevelle has 60ft 1.41 thier. Its a great track to race at.

So you didn't change a single thing? What was the tire PSI?

Im not going to lie ive put royal purple in the whole car and a K@N oil and air filter thats it . The tires were at 25 in the rear.

I'm not really sure how to read all those numbers, but it must be really good!

A guy on the Challenger forums says the K&N filter is good for roughly 2 tenths and 2 mph in the 1/4 mile. I'd think that if it affects performance that much it wouldn't really be considered stock?

Any truth in that?

In my personal experience K&Ns dont do much, I actually gained a tenth once going back to a paper filter
