Chris Brannon Drives OEM and Super Car on Track

We have a detailed suspension thread in another area of the forum, but that doesn't belong here. This area is all about driving and that is what this post is about.

Watch the video on HQ on a full screen closely and several times. You'll see our professional driver jumping corners and sliding through turns. He used this technique because with street tires on the cars it was the fastest way through the corners and Chris is all about being fast. I am emailing this link to Chris so he can chime in with answers to your driving questions.

Chris, do you think you'll be able to make it to the track day next March 28/29th?
Would be great to have a ton of Camaro people come to the track day with you there.

Now you know why I rely on Chris and Stan to our ultimate testing. I am a good driver. People ask me to teach them. Then I ride with Chris or Stan and remember I need to learn how to drive.

Where will this track day be? I will do my best to help out! I enjoy driving the cars obviously but hanging out with die hard hard enthusiasts for a weekend is the best thing ever!

Yes. I have at least 500 laps at Hallett. I had the track records in Touring 1 and Touring 2 for a period of time. Tiny track and way out in the middle of no where but I have had a lot of fun there.

Take a look at this video from Hallett. The in-car is from someone else's Corvette. Start watching from about 8:20 into the video. Be looking for a red GTO that is going 100 mph, diagonal and 2" from the snout of the vette. Corner was off camber over a blind hill and I never lifted !

Here is my in-car from Hallett when I got the T1 race lap record. I was in front so it is kind of boring and far as fender to fender action. Still fun!

At about 8:45 there's a BANZAI! move by some crazy GTO driver having to go wide around the Vette... You call it diagonal, I saw a 100 mph drift! What is it with you and Vettes?

Those will be good vids to study if I ever get the opportunity to go.

Chris and/or Pete.

What dyou you think about the power steering assist? We've had a few owners say that the steering wheel feels far to light to feel comfortable at higher speeds...

What do you think?

Thanks,
