Hey Guys,

Just wanted to introduce myself as I've started my quest to obtaining a 2010 Camaro.

Went to my first dealership yesterday and they said they didn't even have prices on the Camaro :(

Then I came and saw the thread about the dealer in Buffalo selling em for 500 above invoice, so I decided to drop him an email. I have 2 friends who know two dealers, so I'll be using them as resources next week.

Anything I should know about before I go diving into the first one I see at an impulse??

The last car I had that came close to a V8 was a 67' fastback mustang (Sorry Guys1

), Being 6'3" and 240 lbs, it was a little bit of a task just getting into that thing, so I'm excited to get into so muscle with a little room in the cockpit.

Welcome.
And educate yourself on all the prices and options for the 2010 Camaro. A lot of guys print the option sheets and MSRP price sheets and show them to the dealers.

I had a dealer tell me the MSRP on a 1SS was $38K. He was only off by $8k.

....you should have started a little sooner because today is the last day you can place a price protected preorder and get a car before the Fall. Unless you can get real lucky and find a dealer who still has some spots left but they may cost a little more. But welcome to the site!

Just remember no matter how much you may like him or how informed he may see... your dealer is an idiot (unless his name is CamaroScotty!)

I am new also and have a few question that might help both of us. I will be ordering in the next week or so. I found a dealer that has 3 left out of 16 to sell. Here are a couple of questions that I would hope ya'll guys can help me with so I will know what to do and say at the dealership. Before I ask any of these questions just let me tell you that I will be ordering a Black on Black 2SS/RS 6 speed. I can't pick the car up until early December.
1) Do they take your order and give you a copy of the order with the prices on it? 2) What kind of packet was I reading about that the buyer gets to track his purchase and when does that come? 3) Can I order the Hurst shifter or will it delay the order of my car? 4) What other options might delay my car. Any other information about the entire dealership experiance would help.

I'm not in a huge rush as I'm in the middle of a big turn in my business, so adding this to my life won't help my concentration levels
