I am a long time Corvette fan. Last year I had the green light to go ahead and buy a Z51. So I drove a Stingray and while I really liked it, it was cramped and of course it was much slower than my current 1LE. I could easily have fixed that, but actually on the drive home I liked driving my 1LE better. It's mostly paid for, has a back seat for my grown kiddies and other stuff, is more comfortable, and looks better to me. Not a big fan of the insectoid look. The C6 is a better looking car IMO. Although the Stingray is a better car than the C6. At the time the dealer was getting around sticker, but was really low balling trades. Now you can get 9K off on a loaded C7. Funny.
A C7 Z06 has no problem with speed, that's for sure. And with all the options is a world class track car (except for maybe heat soak). Even so the price will come down next year, 100% for sure. The car that has my eye is the 2016 ZL1-Z/28 which ever the LT4 Camaro will be called. We will know soon. This CA6 should be maybe 100+ pounds lighter and have 650 HP. With a back seat and MR. For sure it will corner over 1G and be able to theoretically run 200 MPH. It most likely will be prettier than the Z06 still and carry the kiddies and the groceries. As to those kiddies, most prefer the Camaro over the Stingray.

If you can afford it, its a no brainer. While it might have 'first year issue', it has a warranty. The Z06 is sex on wheels.
Gert it at the right price though or wait...

There are plenty of dealers selling at sticker or less. Don't pay over MSRP on a Z06. Just wait out the initial rush and you'll be seeing $5-8k discounts on them.

I found a dealership in Colorado Springs that is selling them with no markups. I was actually shocked by it since I usually drive to Denver to get a good deal.

The new vette /Z06 interior is a little cramped compared to the camaro and no back seats is an issue however seeing the Z06 in person you forget all those issues. The Car looks amazing from every angle and a base Z06 stickers about in the low 80 k it's not a lot of money for an American supercar,I'm sure the discount in 2016 model will be greater than the depreciation in my 1le.

It's easy for me to make that decision. I don't fit into the new corvettes so it's the Camaro for me.
