Best track brake pad for 1LE

Any good recommendations for this?

Currently running OEM rotors with Motul RBF600
Sticking with the 1LE Stock 4piston F/R Calipers.

Looking to buy a set of dedicated race pads.

Opinions?
Hawk DTC-70s?
Carbotechs XP12?
Cobalt XR1?

How about the rear?

Thanks all!

Can't go wrong with any of them. I run Raybestos ST43 front and rear but I also have 6 piston fronts.

I hear Raybestos will make a custom set of fronts for the 6 piston fronts. I may try them next as I have heard great things

I run carbotech xp12/10 they are the best I have used (HATED the hawks). I really like them, because if bedded PROPERLY, they are near silent on the street....They are not cheap and they last me 8 days and I AM HARD ON BRAKES. When I first started tracking my car, I called EBC and they recommended Carbotech over their own products for my situation. I don't think it gets any better than that. You will need ducts most likely too...I am going to start a thread later this week on my $22 Ace hardware ducts, that worked much better that the ZL1 ducts....

Ya, I had mine custom made for the front. They use some nice thick backing plates too and they don't charge you more just because they are custom. I think they price somewhere between Hawk and Carbotech.

I'm a fan of the Hawk pads but I have never tried the Carbotechs. Ducts are a must if you plan on tracking with race pads IMO. One thing I noticed is you will need to stagger the compounds front to rear. Like backeddy said, you can go XP12/XP10 or for hawk DTC 70 front DTC-30 or 60 rears you should be okay. I had tried the Hawk Street/Race (DTC-30) front AND rear and the car had an ABS issue in the rears when stopping on the street. If it's that bad on the street, I'd hate to see what happens when you try to do that on the track. One final note, DTC-70 or other race compounds will eat through your rotors more on the street and be dusty as hell. So I recommend to change back afterward and buy a different set of rotors/pads for the street.

I love my cobalt xr1/xr3 brakes I run stock rotors in rear racingbrakes up front and these are the best combo I just had a track day Saturday and was amazed at the performance. My hawks would always deposit pad on the rotor ad cause a warpage issue half way through the day. no such issue with the cobalts

Do you swap street pads for the street? I swap between hawk ceramics. They leave zero dust!

I have Raybesto's ST47 on front ZL1 brakes, ST45 on rear. They are AWESOME. I have more than 5 track days on mine, was too lazy to take them out between events, almost no wear, rotors look great, was able to brake even with a C7 Z06 with carbon brake package this past weekend from 120 down to 35mph. I have experienced the brakes overpowering the tires one time in 10 track days or so (overtook a car late in the braking zone and really laid into them to insure I didn't blow the entrance with a car on my door), the ABS goes into like an ice mode where it lets the rotor roll more than it brakes. I use ABS on most all big braking zones.

I'll buy them from now on without hesitation, no issues with dust etching into wheels either.

and one day you might be sorry you chose those, they DO NOT belong on a 4000lb car going 80mph....I stopped 20 feet shorter than the rest of the cars in a fatal 6 car pile up with RACE BRAKES, if I would of been running ceramics I would have been right in the middle of it and my car would be totaled and I might be dead. Brakes are not where you save $150 or worry about "dust".................
