Has anyone played MW2 on the PS3 lately? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Since getting Black Ops for Xmas I haven't played much. I usually only play when my friend is on. He was telling me how he kept getting into hacked games and all the crazy stuff that was happening. I didn't understand because after logging 21+ days of online play (which is a lot

) I have never come across any. Tonight I saw he was on so I popped in MW2 and he logged off just as I logged in. I figured I'd play for a bit since it's been a while. It was ridiculous. In all my time I've only seen a nuke once. I saw 3 tonight. I shot a sniper in the back and he wouldn't die even after unloading a clip at point blank range. I even used a mini gun on them and the same result. Almost every game was hacked in some way. The game is completely broken and Infinity Ward admits there's little they can do about it till Sony updates the firmware. Even then who knows. So I'm officially playing Black Ops only now. Apparently it has better security built in so it isn't (as) affected. :(

They can't fix it, because it the PS3 console that got hacked. I run modded lobbies sometimes "private matches games" You can transfer hacks to ps3 easily now, and soon black ops will be hacked also no game is safe

Never had a hacking problem with Halo 3 or Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.

It'll be interesting to see how all this pans out in the near future... I haven't played since BO came out and was thinking of going back just because but in light of this thread, I won't get my hopes up.

I'm new to just hearing about the hacks and Sony's new problem, and don't have a problem with the hacking, so long as everyone is hacking. If I'm the only one playing straight up, I don't want to play with hackers. I'm sure that's not going to be practical, so you know what they say if you can't beat 'em...

The system was fully hacked about 2 weeks ago. Nobody spends time hacking other games yet

I just got into COD: MW2 a few weeks ago... I thought it was just my poor skills and a need for a bigger TV!

Some users had ZERO deaths and insanely high kill counts. It all makes sense now...

New PS3 firmware to fix a security hole. Hoping this fixes this issue. We'll see.

Not even close. They hack the system so they can make any program run just like sony "they can sign packages if you know what those are" it now going to be nearly impossible to patch. They would have to replace every single game and application to fix it which is not very likely

Was just reading on Infinity ward that they are still working on their own patch so I'm far less hopeful. Oh well back to Black Ops and now Dead Space 2.

Lol it will be hacked the same way. Transfer the patch to a computer and input codes you want and put back on the PS3 nothing getting patch without some major change

It didn't work at all. I can run modded lobbies still "private matches only", and my friend joined one while searching for a ranked match

I meant in MW2 my friend some how got a modded lobby file on my old harddrive. I don't have black ops anymore
