Aftermarket exhaust?

I am the official, very proud, owner of the new Camaro SS
I have a question though. Its a 1SS/RS and it cost $34,555. Was that a good price? Also, the dealership said they put aftermarket exhaust on there, but how can I tell if they really did or they are just saying it to sell the car? I know it sounds better than other Camaro's I hear driving around, but they are the V6's not the V8's so I cant be sure. Thanks!

Depending on what options you have (for example a 1SS/RS, A6, w/ the BA Sound system will run $34,485.00 + Tax, and Tag.

What options did the car have M6, or A6, sunroof, Gfx, BA sound system, 20" polished wheels, stripes, ect... was that $34,555 out the door or before taxes.

As for the aftermarket exhaust the best way to tell if it's the GM is look at the exhaust tips on the top will have the Chevrolet bowtie on them if not look under the car and take a pic of the exhaust and post it on the muffler might say GM Performance Parts.

Congrats
Sean

The Dealer invoice should have a line item indicating the type of exhaust and price - you should have this as there should be some form of warranty for the Dealer-installed option.

Have the dealer give you a copy of the invoice for the aftermarket exhaust for your records. Or get a copy of their "internal repair order" which will show the work they did installing the exhaust. It's your car now so you are entitled to this information.

congrats on the new camaro, but i see someone has not been doing there homework i think i was an expert on my car before i got it .i studied all 2010 camaro web sights, ebay, forums, performance shops, any and all aftermarket parts that were available, hell i even studied the competition foreign and domestic, i had to correct the salesmen as he did not know what i knew about them. wish i cared about school that much when i went to school 100 years ago.

thanks for all the input. i cant believe i didnt think about looking at the invoice ive got the boston acoustics, M6 (of course), 20" midnight silver wheels, 20X9/20X8 Pirelli P-Zero tires, no leather but thats because i hate leather, no sunroof, and ive never really been a fan of the stripes on the camaro's. I did do a little bit of research but since im in the military and was shipping out in two weeks i kinda rushed it because i wanted to play with her before i left out. It hurts buyin it for two weeks of driving and now getting emails from my dad talking about how much he loves driving it :(...only 9 more months and she'll be mine once again!!!

Last year (as I believe this 'deal' ended in 2010) if you were a member of a credit union you got Supplier Pricing.
